The average American produces 4.4lbs of trash per day, most of which goes straight to landfill.
It’s easy to make trash when we don’t have the information or the tools needed to avoid it. That was one of the biggest motivating factors for me to starting Trash Is For Tossers, and my shop, Package Free. I wanted to make information on Zero Waste living, as well as sustainable, plastic free swaps for everyday items, more accessible and convenient.
It’s important to remember that you do NOT have to buy new things to be Zero Waste. In fact, a big part of Zero Waste living is figuring out which items you can live without or make yourself. But DIY is not for everyone and it’s important to meet people where they’re at.
For people who want to reduce their waste, but don’t know where to start, we’ve created Zero Waste Kits at Package Free. Think of them as starter packs, complete with everything you may need to live a trash free life—all in one kit.
I love each and every one of our kits, so I wanted to give them a little shoutout. My hope is that these kits, along with all of our products at Package Free, make the jump to a more sustainable lifestyle easier and more convenient 😌
